The SIS40215 - Certificate IV in Fitness is delivered by our RTO partner Transition Education Australia (RTO: 45692). This qualification is the only one of its kind in Australia specifically created for athletes only. The program involves both scheduled virtual classroom learning activities via Zoom and practical based training and assessment. This program provides athletes with substantial depth of knowledge to plan, conduct and evaluate exercise training; provide leadership and guidance to clients and other staff; and deal with unpredictable situations applying defined guidelines and procedures from the fitness industry and the organisation
The following local entry requirements apply to ensure applicants are able to fully engage in the course and have the required learning capacity to meet the course requirements. Learners must:
be a professional/ semi professional athlete. This requires students to be contracted to a sporting organisation, be affiliated with an Australian sporting institution or be retired from professional sport within the last 5 years
hold a SIS30315 Certificate III in Fitness
hold a current first aid and CPR certificate
hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) number
be able to commit to the course duration and time commitment
These entry requirements will be confirmed through information collected on the enrolment form including confirmation of the athlete status.
Please note - Transition Education Australia will engage with persons expressing interest in enrolment to discuss their language, literacy and numeracy skills.

A study pathway to the Diploma of Fitness (following one year’s post graduation work experience), Diploma of Strength and conditioning or Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management.
Preparation for further study and vocational skills with development of study and research skills, language and literacy skills, communication skills, time management, planning and managing projects, interpersonal skills and the development of techniques.
